Ireland Revisited

In less than a month I'll be going back to visit friends in Ireland - Cork to be more exact! Haven't seen them since I left on Sept. 18th, 2001..(Yeah, let that one sit for a minute!). Heck, I haven't been back to Ireland at all for the past 9 years!! Which is a relatively long time for a country that's just a few hours away by plane..hmm..haven't been to London either..which is something I'd really like to do.

Anyway - I truly can't believe I'm going back - it's gonna be interesting to see how much of Cork City I remember. I have a lot of fond memories from those 15 months - still remember the day I arrived and jumped into a cab at the airport. Thought I had my English vocabulary down, considering my year in Texas - just until the cabbie asked: "Wher' yo' off to, luv?" Eh, HUH?? Well, luckily I got the hang of the 'twang' fairly quickly.

    Yeah, those Cork cabbies, eh?! Looking forward to seeing you soon! Just don't jump into a taxi at the station! ;-)

    And why not just jump in a cab? Are you saying it's not like jumping in a yellow taxi on Fifth Avenue, say like Carrie Bradshaw?! Hahah.. Oh, I see..
